What a cracking start. Territorial Pissings is one of my favourite songs from one of my favourite bands. Then it is into my favourite song from my birth year in Search & Destroy. I don't know it that well, but I voted for Sieve-Fisted Find and it was pleasing to see such an independent artist place here. The song is pretty cool. I enjoy the Rush song, Finding My Way, too. from their debut album when they sounded more rock and Led Zeppelin-like, so I can gel with that. Up next is silverchair's Findaway, a song I always liked. A pretty good solid start with 5 rockers to open, and then like a well-crafted album, we slow down for the atmospheric Find My Way. Lost & Found brings back the beat and is a fun upbeat punk song. The Beasts of Bourbon song was nothing like I expected from one of the loudest live bands I have seen live. Another mid album slow number. Faith No More's Stripsearch continues in a similar vein to the NIN song here. Things stay slow for the mellow Find the River which has a nice piano track in it, but does not strike me as a brilliant song. Soundgarden's Uncovered keeps the tempo pretty low also. Not one of their strong rockers. Then we get to the first bonus track, from a band I really like, but Find Me is not really a standout. Grinspoon kept the tempo low with the acoustic, almost country twang of Find Your Own Way. This sounds like something Stone Temple Pilots are doing now. We finish a little heavier with a solid riff from Cauldron on Never Be Found. I don't mind the vocals here either - they don't do all the 'yeah' cliches, etc. Nice solo and drum fill halfway through it too. A decent end to the mix. Overall, a cracking start and things peter out after that. Not that the tracks are bad, just a little slow and lacking punch. I'm going with a 4/5 for my first CCs of a Themed Song Mix here. ;)

Fantastic opening from surprise (to me) top spot I Nearly Lost You. Loved the rumbling nature of this tune. It is one of the most complete songs. Well, I don't really have to give my thoughts on Lost in the Supermarket; it's by The Clash and it is from quite possibly my favourite album. A great start. Lost in Hollywood sounds pretty low key for System of a Down. Not sure if there is a guest vocalist - but there is definitely a different vocalist here - not sure I like their contribution either, to be honest. Not a favourite for sure. Then it is the song that I was certain would blitz this run, but did not even place - The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret. Strange - it certainly appeals to me more than the preceding song. A cool riff and a great groove. That riff in Lost Cause right? Brilliant. No wonder it went global :P Would so love to have seen this song in the placings. I have been told She's Lost Control is brilliant, but I am not hearing it. Not a bad sound, but a tad droney and repetitive. I like some of the guitars when there are no vocals. Lost & Found made both the #FoundSongs and now #LostSongs list. It picks the beat back up and is certainly more to my tastes. I am not familiar with Suicidal Tendencie's Lost Again. I liked it here. i was about to write how it was not as full on as the songs I do know, and then the guitars went up a notch as I was typing… and again ;) Whoah. I would not expect Grinspoon to come on and sound so much heavier than Suicidal but that is exactly what happens here. Perhaps it is the better mix, but Lost Control certainly opens with a cool riff. I thought this one would be a sure contender, but I got this run totally wrong. This scraped in with the mimimum votes. Wow. One of the best here for me. Count It All As Lost brings some needed heaviness to the mix; even the bands that are heavy not really do it here. Not a fan of the vocals, bbut I liked parts of it. Some good guitaring in there. I was waiting for the long intro to Iron Maiden's Losfer Words and it didn't end. An okay instrumental I guess, but nothign special. I am glad The Boy Who Lost His Jocks at Flinders Street Station picked up the pace. It is quite funny, but builds to some Cosmic Psychos- like guitars which are cool. I thought I would like The Troggs closing out this set, but Lost Girl did not really do it for me. Not as good as the #FoundSongs mix, but still loved at least 4 songs here and rest okay. Suicidal the pick of songs I did not know. Giving #LostSongs a 3.5/5.

In a way it is good that Bulls On Parade pipped Rooster. It is a better introductory track with a crunching riff. Not my favourite Alice in Chains song, but Rooster is brooding an very cool tribute to Jerry's dad. Then the awesome riffs of War Pigs. Like previous mixes, we are off to an awesome start. I did not expect to see Buy Me a Pony here, but what a cracking song. Love it. Then we have a little fun with Three Little Pigs. The Bureau's Only for Sheep ran 4th for a lot of the run. It is am okay song; I like the little bridge into the chorus. March of the Pigs is Nine Inch Nails near their best. Dead Horse is cool, then Counting Bodies… is not much of a song for the first half. Not a strong number here. Hats Off to the Bull is a nice riff and rumbler type song before For All the Cows brings a well-timed bit of lightness to the mix. The start of Searching With My Good Eye Closed is a fantastic match for the theme, but just a cool way to build into a song. I love the rhythm of this song. Clutch bring their usual groove for The Swollen Goat. Donkeys does not do it for me, thematically and as a song. Nor does Year of the Parrot. Then Sheep is a high energy punk finish to the mix. Not as strong in the bonus tracks here, but a very string mix otherwise. 4/5

Well, kicking off with The Clash into Bad Religion warms my cockles and makes me feel good about what we are doing here. Both great songs about two big cities burning to the ground amid this chaos too. Freewheel Burning is the first time Judas Priest have placed here, and I am glad they did. There has been a lot of love for them, and this song is a cracker. Inspires me to go back and have a listen to their stuff (unlike their live performance I saw). Not surprised to see Foo Fighters here. Bridge Burning is a very good song that does not make enough use of the cool riff following the chorus. Burn is a cracking song that makes decent use of organ and backing vocals all over a cool riff. (A tad long though?) At under 2 minutes, Burn My Eye certainly does not overstay its welcome. So pleased to see bands like this in here. Super influential Aussie band, and a bloody good song to boot. Burning Beard is solid, without being near Clutch's best. Burn the Witch has some decent guitars on it, but overall, an average rock song. Burning Times has a cool central riff. I am glad to see such a song here, even if it is not my favourite. Beds are Burning was actually one of the first songs to come to mind for this run. I quite like this one. Ahead of their time in spirit. Burn it Clean, Motor City is Burning and Burning Our Bed are all pretty good without being near each artists' best - but that is cool. Glad to see lesser tier songs here. Burning Down the House is, yeah, it is. No real feelings on this one. All of the bonus songs are decent, without any standouts for me. Overall a pretty consistent mix, but without the highs of past ones. Going 3.5/5

A nice couple of openers to ease into things. Both slow paced, but cracking songs. Behind Closed Doors from my favourite Rise Against and 2006 album. It is a deep track which makes the albums so good; but did not think it would be the first Rise Against song to place. Great to see some lesser-know songs too. Rearview Mirror is my favourite Pearl Jam song and to me is the perfect song. A very good take for this mix. Slipknot bring some heaviness to the mix. I quite like this song and this is the shit that also makes me proud of putting these lists together. I would never have voted for this, but this is also what I want to see here. I was expecting Slayer to continue the heaviness, but Behind the Crooked Cross isn't that heavy TBH. Great riffing and great soloing for a fair chunk of second half. I liked this. The keyboard driven Alice Cooper song here really does not do it for me at all. Sounds like early 80s mainstream AOR. I love The Donnas track here. It was a bit of a gem on an album that went too far in the polished production direction. Leave It Behind is a worthy addition here. I have tried to get into The Cramps, but they are just not my thing. That being said, this song is pretty good and a welcome change-up to this list. Fat-Bottomed Girls also brings a bit of fun to the mix. Social Distotion's Far Behind is a brilliant song that I am sure would appeal to a large cross-section of listeners. Behind the Wall of Sleep features a bunch of cool guitar sounds, but is not one of Sabbath's stronger songs. I liked Behind the Sun and I still do. A nice breezy number for the list. I don't even want to imagine why Stinkfist made the 'Behind Songs' list, but the song itself ir brilliant. ;) It brings back a little heaviness when needed. Hide Behind My Glasses does not really do it for me, but improves the variety in this mix. The same goes for Where You Eyes Don't Go. Makes for a bit of a let down for me to end the mix, after Stinkfist. Still, a pretty consistent mix. 3.5/5

Well, of course I love the opener here; Bullet with Butterfly Wings is my #1 song from 1995 after all. I just wish they had continued with the rock like this. I am not as much of a fan of this Regurgitator album as others. I liked 'some' of the quirky keyboards, but they went too far to 80s for me. Black Bugs is okay and has a decent riff in there, but too high for my liking. I love Alice in Chains and the monotonous instrumental Whale & Wasp is okay on an album, but not worthy of a placing here. A pretty weak group of placings for mine.
Butterfly kicks in from the start and that chorus! Should have slayed them here. This definitely should have placed over the previous two. Then we return to the boring Mosquito Song. This could be a nice little ditty, mid-album, but not near the top and trim it by at least 3 minutes. Drawing Flies and Vasoline bring the rock. The first adds some surprising horns to the awesome underlying riff. The later just has a brilliant riff. Red Mosquito is a decent number without being brilliant - though McCready's guitar playing is a highligh (and thank fuck it beat Bugs into the mix).
Halo of Flies is a bit of fun with some Beatles sounds. It is a bit long, but at least it has change-ups in it to keep it interesting. Beeswax sounds like an unfinished number. It was some good fuzzed out guitars and I love Nirvana, so it it fine to me, but not one of their best and probably a little high here. Many will argue about U2 being on our lists, but The Fly rocks more than several songs above it. For these runs, it is about the songs and this is a worthy addition to this list.
So, Stone Temple Pilots almost got 3 songs into the list from the one album. Not quite, but two was impressive. After lulling you into a false sense of mellowness at the start this song kicks into an excellent groove! I love the DeLeo bros songwriting. The more I listen to these older songs, the more I realise I missed. Why did I take this out of my votes. This rocks and could easily have challenged for a place. It's not one of their strongest singles, but I still thought ACDC's Fly on the Wall would have offered more of a challenge. I think we have lost some Acca Dacca voters.
I was just talking about how I need to listen to more Deftones. Change (In the House of Flies) only encourages that opinion more. I love their moody, atmospheric, brooding yet banging sound. Very cool song. Cicada was a good pick by the punters. There is not a bad song on Frogstomp, so this is a good song. Probably an underrated one TBH. I am yet to get the hype for Muse. I don't dislike them, but just don't really like it either. Sounding part Radiohead and going on with piano solos for ages, Butterflies & Hurricanes did nothing to change my perception. I couldn't wait for it to end, but the last 30 seconds are the best part. The Cramps' Human Fly is at least short, but I still cannot get into this band either.
It is very rare to see Metallica this far down in a mix. Usually, if they are going to make it, they poll well. I actually considered this one of the favourites when we started this run. I like this one too. A good riff and rumbles along nicely. Arm Ants by The Tea Party is a solid song without blowing me away. It is one of their better ones that I know. Locust brings some heaviness to the mix. Not bad.
First bonus song Like Light to the Flies continues where last song left off. A cool riff in this one and I liked the mix of vocals. Audioslave don't really do bad songs. Moth is pretty cool but not one of their best. Final song is even weirder than I expected it to be. There are some cool, sludgey Melvins riffs and good moments, but some if it is a bit shit too.
In all, a long list with a lot of long songs. Hardly any 3-4 minute songs here. Thankfully there were a few under 3 minutes to balance things out as at 1 hour 40 minutes this is a long mix. At least we ended up with some variety in the end. It was looking like a 90s grunge/alt-rock mix for a while (which is cool by me, but not really the aim here). Mostly good songs, but several that did little for me and this just lagged a bit for mine. 3/5

Husker Du - Ice Cold Ice. Not bad, was just expecting more TBH. Sounding very REM here.
Korn - Cold. Like the clean vocals, not the yabbering.

Cinderella - Long Cold Winter. I thought I would like this more TBH.
The Pixies - Winterlong. I've liked a few Pixies' songs appearing in these lists, but this pop number did little for me.
Mastodon - Cold Dark Place. I liked this EP, but title track is least interesting song on there.
Hoth - The Frozen Wastes of Hoth. I liked the guitars.

Going for Rolling Stones just over John Frusciante. I have probably heard the former, but it wasn't in my H100.
Overall
Not bad, but teo of best songs are covers. Not near my favourite mix we've had: 3/5.
