So I am trying to write something every couple of nights. Sometimes my inspiration runs low and I waste time. We have a Things To Do Page. That was a good idea and helps, but I am also interested in what other people would like to see.

The Brutal fighter came about from discussion with a player, as has many of the races completed so far, so again, I am asking everyone: "what would you like to see?" Are there ANY ideas or concepts that you would like to see. Chaddy has a pirate campaign (I think that is still going), players have concepts they like, are there races not done, etc?

Any system: D&D 5E, B&B, Cypher System and soon the AGE system will be across my sights. This is a GENERAL thread. I want to hear ANY ideas for development or conversion.

I have been trying to do this still. Lately, I have been concentrating on Cypher System stuff (especially Star Wars), so people probably have not noticed.

Anyhoo, I am still after requests for ANY system. Races are probably the main thing that people are interested in… So, any ideas? Anything you would like to see here?

These are not going well.

However, I am taking some older edition books featuring elves, halflings and dragonborn with me on hols. I will be having a read and seeing if anything would be cool to convert.

Most stuff I have looked at can be done with what is there in 5E anyway. B/w race, subrace, BG, feats, classes and subclasses, a lot of old stuff is already covered.

Still, I chose these b/c those are the races you are playing for our current 5E campaign. i have work with me too, but might find some inspiration for nights (or even for when I get back). :)

Meantime, if anyone has a specific 5E idea, happy to write SOMETHING/ANYTHING. (Even if not related you your current PCs - just something you'd like to see or be able to do in the game).

I have a few things in the things to do page too - some we need for our 'package' if we get that off the ground, but if anyone cane think of anything else = cool.

years ago, i think it was Dions character from memory, Nyart campaign (Bushstalker). he wielded a spear and was able to infuse his weapon with power to create a magical weapon, then infused further power to upgrade it to generate fire (flametoungue). the mechanic from memory was burning XP to power it. it is an idea that may be worth updating to 5E, Katar may be interested in using this mechanic.

I don't think we need a mechanic for this. I have done it many ways.

Anything you talk about above I would allow with some sort of long lasting ritual - probably covered in the 'Creating Magic Items' downtime activity. (We'll need to see that first).

XP would not be a good solitary source for this (esp as we only track to 100 - though of course if you had this in mind you could keep saving without an advance for a long time.

Another reason is, magic items "+"s are rarer in 5E a +3 weapon is like an old +6.

However, I love these things being boons from gods, or magical parts of a story. This is the reason I ask for players' wish lists! If you want a Flametongue and slay the red dragon - what better way of the sword that slew a red dragon becoming a Flametongue? I did this a fair bit with 4E and looking to do so again. (Hence - fill in Wish Lists ;)).

Basically state this is what you want to do and we could develop something :)

No all that makes sense, i just put it here if it was an idea for you to develop something for the un caged thing.
As far as Katar and his quest for a flametoungue sword goes, this mechanic sounds cool and something he may do once her has slain his first (of many) dragon.

I'd really like to see a lot more elemental spells converted over. Maybe we could bring back the 'Spell Tags'. I was thinking about backup characters and had the idea to create an elementalist.

In the meantime, I've been putting together some sailing rules, bringing things together from a range of different sources that I've had in mind for a long time. I'm hoping I'll have it ready (well, the basics at least) when you get back.

There are a HEAP of elemental spells in the the free Elemental Evil Player's Guide. (Have you seen the lists I keep on the D&D Spells Page?). I was doing the Elemental Domains and needed some spells, but there are heaps in that… But I did write 1 Water spell.

Oh, and you will love Xanathar's Guide To Everything. All those elemental spells will be reproduced there. Check those first and then see if there are still gaps ;)
