Listening to now. (EDIT: Be back, not finished yet).
Oh wow, our March ones actually do share a few :)
Already had Thumbed
Songs I already had thumbed up (or at least had faved over at JBNow and immediately did this when they appeared):
Lagwagon - Made of Broken Parts - obviously :)
Strung Out - The Animal and the Machine - another album I have faved a lot of. A great surprise for me this album.
Saves the Day - In the Between - Cool. this was on my Feb Mix, so obviously you had a listen :) I liked it when this happens.
Breaking Benjamin - Failure - Added to my March Mix too after you posted on Song of the Week. I had listened to the album in my queue on JBNow but missed this one. ;)
No Fun At All - Reckless - I just added this very song to my March Mix too ;)
Led Zepplin - Immigrant Song - well it is in one of mt Top 100's, so it is now thumbed and all albums added to library.
Bands I was listening to and now have a new thumbed song
Rival Sons - Open My Eyes - Cool song. I was going to just add album to Library, but the song got to me :)
Billy Talent - Ever Fallen In Love With Someone… - His voice actually sounds like the Buzzcocks. Suitable (without being outstanding) cover.
Nothington - Save This - a band related to all the ones I am listen to a lot lately. In fact, I believe one of the guys from this band ended up in Red City Radio or one of the others I have been listening to (that come up on Banner Pilot and Spraynard radio). Cool song.
Mobina Galore - Skeletons - what an awesome song. I think I have this in a mix or at least faved on JBNow? I am pretty sure I bought these guys on Bandcamp. Is that how you came across them? If not, then I am sure you would have a album or 2 from me. Love this.
It's Only A Story - You Can't Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve (In A Tank Top) - Cool title. Cool song. I know you really like these guys and a good pop-punk find. I dig them too. (Pity there is only 1 album on GP).
The Black Pacific - System. I had bought their 1 and only album, but don't know it well enough and it is not on GP. This is a good song though.
New discoveries that I thumbed (and of course album added to Library)
Diablo Royale - Greedy Dogs - I was hooked immediately on hearing the opening riff. :)
The Blackout - Take Away the Misery - Well technically I had started listening to these guys b/c I saw them in your recent listening on JBNow ;) So inc here as I got them very recently from you anyway. A pretty full on song compared to the one I faved earlier.
Edgewater - Eyes Wired Shut - Had never heard of these guys. Not bad alt-rock. Definitely something you would listen to and enough to get me to listen to more too. A good song.
The Border Cops - Cutter - Reminded me of Violent Soho from the opening riffs and vocals :) Thumbed straight away. Another band I had not heard of. Great to see so many new bands on this mix :)
Sun Gods In Exile Climb Down - I liked this and was typing it into the category below and then the solo hit. I really liked that. Just got the TU.
Songs I liked but not enough to thumb
(As Library and Thumbs Up work differently. ie I added these albums to my Library, but did not 'thumbs up' the song - which is for my absolute favs).
Falling In Reverse - The song did enough for me to add the album to library for further listening.
The Exies - As I had not added them to Library yet.
Damone - I liked the song, but not yet ready for 'thumbs up'. Album into library though. :)
Time & Distance - The slow song piqued my interest, so into library for further listens.
Moose Blood - Now when I saw the name of this band I was definitely expecting Stoner Rock, not lo-fi indie stuff. I liked it, just need to listen to more. :) (Wow, Knuckle Puck are under them for related artists).
Screaming Jets - not that big on Sad Song but I have them in my library.
Lower Than Atlantis - I liked what you did there. Sad Song followed by Another Sad Song ;) I had their 2014 album in queue on and off on JBNow. They have now been added to library. Don't know any songs well enough to TU yet.
The Beatles - I liked this song, but was not familiar with it. I really need to listen to the full albums of these guys one day. Seriously. I know there are many more gems in there. Good to see their discography is on GP though. All studio albums added to library.
D-A-D. Added their main albums to library though.
Songs I did nothing with
Sophia Ramos - Freedom Is Over - not a bad song, just not my thing.
Tonight Alive - I should like this band - just nothing has really stood out to me. I listened to their 2012 album a bit. This still hasn't got me there.
Reachback - like the group above, sounds like it would be on Paramore radio and not something I can get into, not that I dislike it either.
Coheed & Cambria - still can't get into these guys.
The Lucksmiths - in time I might come back and add some of these. I was quite surprised about how many albums they have on GP! Maybe I will be in a better mood for these guys later on ;)
Thanks for continuing with these Shane. I really enjoy listening to your mixes. This had so many new artists for me. Have you been hitting a few radio buttons of late or were these guys you were listening to b4? I would like to know where the ones I listed under 'New Discoveries' came from if you remember. An excellent mix that has me looking at some new artists. I didn't dislike any tracks and some I listed in last category I am sure might even make library one day. Very cool collection.
