Okay, some of you may have noticed I have written up a lot of Star Wars species for this system.
I have been thinking hard about actual physiological adaptations and features.
For some I have:
- Granted training. Eg Races from water trained in swimming. Those that can see in the dark, are trained in low-light spotting.
- Simply lowered the difficulty.
- Granted an asset. eg. Microscopic vision granting asset for examining things up close.
I have been thinking a fair bit about this. I actually think biological features should grant ASSETS. Having microscopic vision is like others lokking through a magnifying glass. Having thick fur to protect you from the cold is like others wearing such furs.
These require no training. More to the point you don't see Wookies wearing furs. ie: Remember that you can only gain 2 step bonuses due to assets. I would not want to encourage Talz and Wookies to also don thick clothing when they clearly don't in the shows.
Tricky ones are things like perception. Are they perceptive due to features or being alert? Most often = both, so probably stick with training there.
I have read that people are trained in low-light spotting somewhere, but I actually think species starting out that way should have Assets. meaning, wearing goggles that also allow dark vision should not be an asset to someone that already has that.
