Medusa Traits
- Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity, Constitution and Charisma scores increase by 1.
- Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern colour in darkness, only shades of grey. Medusas have adapted to the dark.
- Petrifying Gaze. As an action, you fix your gaze on one creature within 30 feet that that you can see. The creature must have eyes and be able to see you. The target must make a Consitution saving throw. The difficulty for this save is 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. If the target fails their save, it begins to turn to stone and is restrained. A restrained creature must repeat the saving throw at the end of their next turn, becoming petrified on a failure or ending the effect on a success. The petrification lasts until the creature is freed by a geater restoration spell or similar magic. You can use this feature once and regain the ability to do so following a long rest.
- Natural Armor. You have scaly skin. When you aren't wearing armor, your AC is 12 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield's benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor.
